Our Farmhouse

Zenestrin, in the heart of the Val Cornei, offers its guests a friendly, family atmosphere surrounded by nature.
The house design follows the style of local rural dwellings; it faces south and is built on a typical Ligurian terrace held by a Finale stone wall.

Who we are

We are Marta and Alessandro. We love outdoor lifestyle and we love the beauty of our landscape.

A few years ago, while hiking and climbing in the area, we came up with the decision to build HERE our home.

We bought a plot and we started our project: to dedicate ourselves to hospitality and sustainable tourism on the basis of a deep respect for the environment and the recovery and protection of this country and its traditions.

We want to share with you our great passion. This is why we welcome you to our farmhouse and our land with our dogs, Anakin and Padme and with our little boy Leonida.

The Farm

The farm mainly cultivates two crops.
We basically deal with the cultivation of ornamental broom (Spartium junceum) in its three local varieties: Merella, Seborghina, and Mariani.

Another is dedicated to the cultivation of Leccine quality olives for the production of oil.
Both cultivations are located on land adjacent to the house and can of course be visited.

There is also a vegetable garden in seasonal rotation for the production of vegetables and herbs.
Several fruit trees complete the farm.

You can buy our products and those of other local producers on site.

The Region

Our B&B is located in the heart of Finalese, a land with a uniquely wild landscape that preserves the remnants of thousands of years of history.
Deep and narrow valleys separate steep chalky ridges.

Isolation favoured the evolution of many endemic plants, and the cliffs host the nests of tens of different bird species.
The many caves of the area show the traces of human presence during Prehistory.

Afterwards, castles and fortitied settlements dotted the territory: for example, from our B&B
you can see the church of San Lorenzino, built in the Middle Ages inside a stronghold overlooking the valley.

The town of Finalborgo, which still retains its 15th century walls and is part of the association "Borghi più belli d’Italia" (“most beautiful hamlets of Italy”), lies just a few kilometres away.
